By downloading, accessing, or using the One Ledger eNotary Journal application (“the App”), you agree to the following terms and conditions. If you do not agree to these terms, do not use the App.
One Ledger eNotary Journal is designed to assist notaries with administrative journal recordkeeping, organization, and related record-management tasks.
You are responsible for using the App in accordance with the laws, rules, regulations, and retention requirements applicable to your commissioning authority and jurisdiction.
The App provides administrative recordkeeping tools and does not provide legal advice. Your commissioning authority or attorney remains the appropriate source for legal interpretation and compliance guidance.
You are responsible for reviewing information before submitting and locking a journal record. Once an official record is locked, it is intended to remain permanent within the journal.
Practice Mode records are intended for training and are the only journal records that can be deleted through the application's practice deletion process.
You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account, password, device, biometric access, and any information stored or accessed through the App.
Lock the App when stepping away from the device or when handing the device to another person.
Journal records may contain personally identifiable information, signatures, identification details, and thumbprint information. Protect your device and carefully control access to records and exports.
The App can generate and share journal document exports. You are responsible for choosing appropriate recipients, storage locations, printing methods, and sharing methods for exported records.
You are responsible for maintaining paper records, exported PDFs, digital journal records, and backups according to the retention requirements applicable to your state or commissioning authority.
The App and these Terms of Use may be updated from time to time. Continued use of the App after an update constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
